July 7: Antwerpen
I arrived safely, uneventfully, and on time. The baby on the plane was particularly annoying with this continual screeching, -- not really crying, but screeching. Fortunately the baby was several rows behind me this time. I actually got a couple of hours' sleep on the plane. Weather here in Antwerp is cool: about 55 degrees F in the morning, and has gone up to about 65 F at 1:30 pm local time. My room is on the top floor of the new student apartment building. Very quiet, very new, and quite nice. The students are mostly gone for the long weekend, so except for a couple of girls and Jack, I've got the entire building to myself. Jack and I met for an hour or so this morning. Newell and I met for a couple hours and then went to lunch to continue talking about the semesters' problems, strengths, and weaknesses. I'll catch a quick nap this afternoon and get started on the internet problems tomorrow. Newell and I are planning to have dinner at Amadeus tonight and strategize for the new COB 300 summer program next year.

I sure miss you. Is there room if I showed up?
Yes. I'm on Floor 3, which is up three flights of stairs. But they are wide stairs, not like the Woolly. Extra bed, kitchen, nice balcony overlooking the street...right across the street from Bastin's service entrance.
Isn't Bastin's one of Dubby's favorite chocolate places? And you're right across the street from it? I think you might have a visitor sooner than you think... LOL
Thanks for the explanation about sitting for the CPA exam. It was very informative.
Yes, Bastin is the upscale chocolate factory and store. It is literally right across the street from my window, about 30 feet!
Mmmmmm. Yeah, but extra bed? Are you kicking me out of yours?
No, you can have my bed if you want... I'll take the extra one. ;-)
Ummmm...no.
