Trip 3 Day 8 -- Log Cabin Private Lodge in Shoshone National Forest

This "cabin" is actually a large luxury log home, three levels, with several large open living rooms, three full bathrooms, and at least nine beds, several of which are double-beds, and ours is an 'extended queen' that could probably sleep Yao Ming comfortably.  Includes whirlpool bath, washer/dryer, big-screen TV, wood stoves, even a koi pond with a fountain.  It is well-stocked, has a gourmet kitchen, is open and airy, and couldn't be more enjoyable.  It has large picture windows, a super wrap-around deck complete with barbecue grill, porch swing, chairs, tables, birdfeeders, hummingbird feeder, etc.   The place can accommodate 10 comfortably, and 15 or so if a couple of them are married or on intimate terms sharing a bed and/or using the sofabeds.  Alas, no cell phone service from the wilderness.

 This is a bird called a "Clark's Nutcracker".  He's eating ... cracked nuts.

This is the view out the front window, looking across the Wind River towards Lava Mountain, part of the Pinnacles Mountain Range.
