Thanks to Gerry Brunk for correctly identifying this as a goldfinch, not an oriole. After doing double-takes at the photos from Google searches, it appears that Orioles have more black on their heads. Other than that, however, my untrained eye can't tell much difference. Many orioles have more reddish-brown/orange tint, but there are many pictures of orioles with this lemon-yellow plumage too. But no question, it does match the gold-finch pictures, with very little black on their forehead.
The size is also in favor of a goldfinch identification. This bird was tiny. Orioles are generally larger.
