A Few Insects of the Rocky Mountains.

Unlike Florida, you can actually go outside in the Rockies without having to slather on the bug repellent. I did a tick-check nightly after my hikes, but never found a tick. In fact, insects were in rather short supply in general. Most wouldn't hold still long enough for a photo, but a few cooperated, including the blue mayfly whose wings are practically invisible.
