On the way to the ARRL convention this morning I happened to drive by this street sign, and I just had to stop and get a picture, since he's Dubby's hero.
After dinner tonight I drove down to the Wright Brothers Aviation museum and park. The place was closed, but I got a few pictures in before they shut the gates. The carillon tower is huge.
While North Carolina may say it's "first in flight", this city calls itself the "home of flight", since the Wright Brothers made their home here. Where am I?

They are just making the Wright Brothers home into a museum. It was at the airfield owned by the military. Gary stayed in it two weeks ago and showed me pictures, but he was one of the last to be allowed to stay there.
